The beautiful Aisha Rug Runner was handwoven in the Berber town of Matmata, Tunisia using cotton and wool.
The colours and patterns are so detailed this is a completely unique, high quality heirloom to be loved and treated as part of the family fabric.
Measuring 220cm × 120cm it would look beautiful in a hallway or could be used to separate a room. We also love a runner at the bottom of a double bed.

A family business in the Berber region of Matmata, Abdallah was one of the first people we reached out to when we started The Wee Souk in 2021. After liaising with his niece via a Tunisian Artisans Facebook group, I received an abundance of images of the most beautiful 'margoum'. Made using wool, the patterns reflect the Berber culture of the women makers. Abdallah travels around the South of Tunisia, visiting small villages with big reputations for the best carpets in the region.
